Special National Members Assembly 2021

In accordance with the SALGA Constitution as amended in 2016, SALGA is convening the National Members Assembly to be held on 13-14 May 2021 under the theme Transition of Local Government.

The 2021 NMA will be held virtually on Zoom platform and will be streamed live on all SALGA’s social media platforms.

Purpose and Objectives of the National Members Assembly

• Assess preparations towards the Local Government Elections;
• Profiling the successes and progress made during this term of Local Government;
• Reflect on the framework to manage the transition;
• Update on support for non-returning councillors and SALGA Integrated Councillor Induction Programme;
• Adopt the programme of action for the development of the SALGA 5 Year Strategy 2022-2027
